How To Setup A Slack Bot

Last updated on Jan 22, 2025

To seamlessly integrate your DigiAI Agent with Slack, follow these straightforward steps to deploy your AI-powered chatbot in your Slack workspace. This integration allows you to utilize the power of generative AI directly within your team's communication hub.

Step 1

Ensure that you are logged into only the Slack workspace where you want to deploy your DigiAI Agent. Log out of other workspaces to prevent any mix-ups during the integration process.

Step 2

In the DigiAI Agent interface, navigate to the “Publish” tab and locate the "Slack Bot" section. Enable this feature, copy the Integration Code provided, and click “Add to Slack.” This action will redirect you to Slack’s website to create a Slack App tailored for your Agent.

Step 3

On Slack’s platform, simply click "Allow" to grant the necessary permissions for the integration.

Step 4

Your AI Agent chatbot will now appear under your Slack “Apps.” Locate the bot in the menu on the left side and add it to your desired channels to make it accessible.

Step 5

Connect the Slack App with your AI Agent by entering the following command in a direct chat with the Slack App you added in Step 4. Make sure to replace [the Integration Code] with the actual code you copied from Step 2:

/connect-digiai [the Integration Code]

Step 6

Upon successful connection, you will receive a confirmation message. You can now interact with your AI Agent directly within Slack. To initiate a conversation, mention the bot by using @ followed by the bot’s name, and ask questions or give commands based on the knowledge it’s been trained on.

With these steps, your DigiAI Agent is fully integrated with Slack, ready to enhance your team’s communications with AI-driven insights and support.
